The practical and physical elements of the border are mostly very mundane objects.


The table, a counter or just a hole in the wall (remember buying that ticket) are elements of the border that separates the inside from outside. Very mundane  and physical objects which tell  a story of the way the interaction takes place and what the stage for exchange and communication is.

And remember these elements are not a matter of coincidence, these are a result of organisational actions. Organisations could done it differently.
