To enable interaction, and remember that this is in the end the life line for any organisation, organisation can reach out and extend towards the outsider. And it can open up and welcome outsiders to enter certain areas of the organisation.
In complex interactions where both strategies occur, it might in the end be difficult to see where the organisation begins and ends and to establish what the exact position in relation to the border is. A mix-up of insiders and outsiders might be the result.
