The real interesting point is where the various borders of an organisation meet.

An important aspect of borders is what happens between the two side of the border. The border where the interaction takes place. Customers and suppliers interact with the organisation in various ways as do the internal departments with each other.

It becomes intriguingly interesting where these borders meet each other. The place where sales meets marketing meets production meets customers meets NGO’s. Or where products meets virtual outlet meets physical spaces meets services meets leadership.

These crossroads of borders provide opportunities for coordination, fights, open mindedness, myopia, creativity, energy drains or unexpected fun. These are the tricky parts of design.
